Portfolio Overview

I chose to include writing and editing samples here because, as an editor, these are the core tasks I will be expected to perform. I want future employers to see that I have experience with a variety of writing and editorial work. To me, writing and editing represent the broad spectrum of the craft. They encompass the more substantial and detailed forms, such as articles and reports, while other styles of writing branch out from this foundational area.

As a graphic designer, one of my primary responsibilities is creating a variety of digital designs for the company. To demonstrate my proficiency in this area to future employers, I have included a design sample. In my view, design is primarily about the visual aspect of creation. While some writing is involved in my work, it primarily serves to complement the visuals I create. Nonetheless, design remains a form of storytelling—one that uses a different style of writing to convey its message.

As a digital marketer, one of my core responsibilities is crafting various forms of social media content for a company's accounts. To demonstrate my versatility in this area to prospective employers, I have included a few content creation samples. In my view, content creation is a blend of traditional writing and design. I combine visuals—such as images and graphics—with carefully crafted captions to create engaging posts. Depending on the subject matter, captions can range from brief and snappy to detailed and informative. Regardless of the style, I see content creation as a unique form of storytelling that brings ideas to life in a visually compelling way.
